At Abacus Ark, we know that passionate and dedicated practitioners are the heart of every child’s early years journey. One wonderful example is Charlotte, our Senior Key Teacher at the nursery school Wandsworth. Her story – from fresh graduate to a confident, compassionate team member in our baby room – reflects the growth, development, and support we encourage across all our private nurseries in London.
Charlotte joined Abacus Ark Wandsworth nursery in October 2023, shortly after completing her BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies at the University of Portsmouth. Relocating from Hampshire to London to begin her professional career, she quickly found her place within our warm and welcoming community at this highly regarded day nursery in Wandsworth.
“I started in the preschool room,” Charlotte shares, “but when I moved to working with toddlers, I realised how much I love supporting younger children. That led me to the baby room, where I now work as the key teacher.”
In her role at our Wandsworth nursery school, Charlotte creates engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage each baby’s development, while ensuring every child receives individual care and attention. She is especially dedicated to supporting families during the settling-in period – a time when both children and parents need reassurance, confidence, and warmth.
“I love being at the very start of the children’s journey,” she says. “Helping them and their families feel secure and confident as they begin nursery life is such a rewarding part of what we do.”
Since joining our nursery in Wandsworth, Charlotte’s skills and confidence have grown enormously. Her nurturing approach and commitment to excellence led her to progress from Assistant to Senior Assistant within just her first year – a testament to her passion and talent.
Charlotte brings energy, care, and dedication to everything she does. Whether she’s setting up a sensory activity, welcoming a new family, or supporting colleagues, she embodies the values that make Abacus Ark one of the most trusted choices for parents looking for a nursery school London.
