Today, we are proud to celebrate one of those people — Miss Simona, our Deputy Nursery Manager at our Wandsworth Nursery School Location, who has been recognised as a Finalist for Deputy Nursery Manager of the Year 2025 at the National NMT Nursery Awards.
From Italy to London: A Journey in Early Years Education
Simona’s inspiring journey began in Italy, where she studied Educational Sciences, focusing on child development and early years learning. After graduating, she gained valuable experience in Prague, working at a bilingual outdoor nursery school.
This unique experience deepened her understanding of how children learn through exploration — something she brings into our London nurseries every day.
Joining Abacus Ark: A Home for Growth
When Simona moved to London, she began her early years career in a baby room before finding her home at Abacus Ark, one of the top private nursery schools in London.
Over the past three years, she has grown with us — from Senior Key Teacher to Third in Charge, and now into her leadership role as Deputy Nursery Manager.
